Hi,

ever get in one of those moods, like.. I just wanna get rid of all these
things and start over? funny I just finished setting up my new board, as is
ALWAYS the case I am not satisfied and about to put it all on ebay.

However, before I do, I am wondering if I could ask for some help.

there are three sounds besides my clean, that I want to accomplish: Russ
Freeman, solo from the Rippingtons.. the more current stuff; Hendrix
distortion, and Santana lead again for Santana his older PRS stuff.

I don't know what you use, but how do you like your amp and speaker with
NO effects? If it's not working for you, that's the place to start.

I think that there's always a risk that guys will use effects as
Band-Aids, instead of ways to flavor a great amp.

Well, I think that folks will have many varied opinions about there amps
being great or not. My gear is workman like. guitars" Martin HD 28V, PRS
94 Custom 22 with Dragon 1 pups, PRS McCarty with M pups, and Fender EJ
Strat..

so in the end, I would like to get some quality pedals to help emulate some
of my favorite guitar players.. These pedals are for gigging, and not to
improve the amp.. I also have a beautiful Mesa Tremoverb head and recto
cab, and a Victoria/Gretsch Executive..

I don't gig. I don't even play as much as I should. But I understand
the need to have a working rig that can cover A LOT of tones.

If I did gig, I would not cart 3 or 5 amps to a gig! Nor would like the
idea of moving some of my vintage gear, or leaving it in any venue or
practice space where it might "disappear."

Then try something like guitar rig 4
that gives you limitless options.
