There is a shareware digital audio recording package called Reaper -
is that what you're referring to? If so, the latest version (3.74)
of the software and documentation is available at

http://www.reaper.fm/

http://www.reaper.fm/userguide.php

If you're talking about the mixer itself, it seems to only have an
owner's manual, which is probably what you already have. I see no
other documentation.

let's assume you have headphones and have figured out how to hear what's plugged into it.
if not, ignore the USB and figure this out first.
plug something into the input(s), make sure it's on, route it to where it needs to go.

when you plug the usb in, your computer should detect it and either
install it as another audio input/output device; or ask for drivers.
since you don't mention any problems, let's assume it's good.

Reaper is DAW software (and worth the $$$), but whatever software you use,
it will use the devices the computer knows about.
If you can find the options/preferences/audio/device page, you can tell it
where to listen for input, and where to send output. If the software doesn't see it,
you need to check your system audio settings.

You may want to get an extra set of cheap computer speakers to use as monitors,
there is processing latency that will throw off your timing if you listen
to playback through the system while you record.
