Dear Guitarists,

We would like to present to you the Farmer’s Mill - a guitar pedal
which is first in the world to allow musicians to break the guitar
sound. The idea of crushing the sound is simple yet very powerful and
our team of professionals made it come true.

Farmer's Mill makes guitar sound like a burning and broken guitar
cable. The only exception is that now you’re able to control this
phenomenon. We call it "The Mill". Our pedal cannot be compared to any
other sound processing unit and we hope it will open a new chapter in
the guitar effects history.

Please review the attached brief material and visit us on the web in
order to find more of the audio and video samples as well as the full
press package. The Farmer’s Mill premiere took place on April Fool’s
Day yet we are really serious about “The Mill” idea as it is
absolutely original and new to the world of guitar pedals.

Also please visit the UK's MusicRadar website, where the first
impressions on Farmer's Mill are described by Chris Vinnicombe
(Guitarist, Total Guitar):

Very soon reviews in UK Guitarist, US Premier Guitar and UK Stuff
magazines are about to come. Please stay tuned for more information
over time as we are still developing our dealership programme.

Thank you for your time and please excuse us the possible group rules
abuse ;-)

Normally "spam" turns me off, but this pedal is interesting enough (and odd
enough) that it captured my interest.

The trouble is that some of the descriptive material on your web site
doesn't really give a good indication of what the pedal actually does. The
YouTube videos are much more informative. I'd put those first! I listened
to a few of them, and from what I can gather, the pedal is breaking up the
wave form corresponding to one or more guitar notes into a series of short
pulses: part of a pulse is actually the guitar signal, and the other part of
a pulse is either silence or white noise. And you can control the degree to
which the pulses mix with the original guitar sound, and you can control the
repetition rate of the pulses.

Do you think this is accurate? If so, you might want to use a description
like this, particularly to English-speaking readers.

One more thing: this particular newsgroup gets very little traffic. If you
want a lot of guitar players to see this, you might want to post it to the
alt.guitar newsgroup.

Do you have distributors in the US for the pedal yet?

Hi!

Thanks! We're working hard to get our idea put simple. What you have
described is accurate! This is what Farmer's Mill does;) We will
forward this to alt.guitar, thank you for the advice.
We are still looking for proper USA dealers but there's no problem
with shipping to USA, we've already sent a few units with success.
As for the pedal explanation we avoid giving precise information on
what it exactly does. It simply breaks the guitar sound and if you can
hear that on the recordings then it's all ok.
Once again thanks! If you have any questions please let us know at
info{at}crushsound.com

Best regards
