I pulled my MI Audio Crunchbox V.3 from my board due to it being a bit
mid heavy for my tastes, along with the fact that my new amps own
distortion is more than I need! However, I would love to replace it
with an overdrive to make my solos sing a bit more, WITHOUT adding any
extra crunch or affecting my overall tone to any large extent.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Assuming you're using a tube amp, try a treble booster.

Those are two good ones. I've been using the Keeley Java for years.

Thanks Rich, I'm actually running a MI Audio Boost N Buff in the
effects loop of my amp, it works as a treble booster in the 2nd half
of it's gain sweep, although I'm using it strictly as a volume boost
right now. Would it interact as a treble booster better there or into
the front of the amp?

Better in the front, in my estimation. That gets the preamp tubes in on the
act and will require less extra boost to get some overdrive. Then again,
"good" overdrive is in the ears of the beholder, I wouldn't want to claim
that you'll like what works for me . But you've got the pedal, just try it
out front and see what you think.

Will do, thanks again!
