I have a half rack size guitar fx processor:

...and would like to use it on stage. I play acoustic guitar, seated,
and need a simple solution to house or support my fx unit. Anything has
to be better than just putting it on the floor (where I don't have
access to the controls amongst other things).

Buying an expensive rackmount case would be complete overkill and I'd
happily put the fx unit on top of my amp except I can't as I have one of
these:

Any ideas for an inexpensive and portable solution to house the unit and
bring it within easy reach if I am seated?

Thanks.

I have a POD that came with a mount that attaches to a microphone
stand... True, it's made for the POD, but... if you got something like
that, and just put velcro on it... It would hold anything.

I used it for a gig once, and I tell you - having that thing at chest
height where I could see all the settings and make changes was almost
better than using a real amp :)

So, I'd obviously get a mic stand that has a heavy base - and find some
sort of tray mount... Worst case scenario, buy a POD mount, and just put
velcro on it.. I also have a short gooseneck at the top of the mic
stand, so you could concievably tilt it to ANY angle..

PS - I had an FX-500 back in the day... LOVED that thing - but it
glitched between patches. Does yours do that?
