Can anyone recommend a good beginner guitar for around $200.00? We
tried one of those Ibanez package deals but the guitar neck warped
after a couple of days!

Thanks!

I'm not sure how much they are but the Squier Classic Vibe 50's & 60's
Stratocaster's are fantastic for the price. Probably nearer $300 though.

I've been watching this thread, wondering if you would get any replies, I'm
mostly a lurker in this group. Both the question and answer are really too
big, but IMO the JM's Squier suggestion is good - among very many others.
You might have more luck in the alt.guitar and alt.guitar.beginner groups,
but some specifics would be helpful.

Is the neck on your Ib really warped, or has it just bowed a bit? The latter
is easily fixed with a truss rod adjustment.

It's kind of a crap shoot at that price level, but Yamaha (Pacifica),
entry Ibanez, Squier and bolt on Epiphone are likely suspects.

Myself? I'd look at the USED market. That can be a bit trickier if you
buy from a private party. No money back guarantees or trial periods.
If you're not entirely comfortable checking out the guitar, bring a more
experienced player. ...or only buy from a store that'll allow a return
period long enough for you to put the guitar in the hands of a luthier,
while asking him "what do you think?"

For $250 range, you can usually find a MIM (Made in Mexico) Stratocaster
or Telecaster -- or a set neck Epiphone SG model. Add about a hundred
bucks, and you can usually find set neck Epiphone Les Pauls. <<<< USED
prices.

Was the guitar was subjected to a significant change in humidity? If
so, it's not unusual for the guitar to need a truss rod adjustment (to
correct the relief).

If it's twisted, or there's a hump (especially where neck meets body),
it's toast.

You probably just had a bad Ibanez. I would take it back to where you
bought it and ask for a replacement.
